CEET FOUAD

BIOGRAPHY

Fouad “CEET” born in 1971, graffiti artist spent all his childhood in Toulouse. He became one of the historic graffiti artists of Toulouse. After being a member of the legendary Truskool in the 90s, he conquered China with his “Chicanos”, small chickens which he sells all over the world.

When CEET discovered Shenzhen, the fourth largest city in China in 2002, he did not speak a word of Chinese.

“Very few Chinese spoke English, unlike today, and when the Chinese cannot understand you, they close, and run away. Every outing in town was a mission! “

CEET takes out his pencil.

“I drew what I wanted to ask and when I looked for a restaurant, I drew a mouth and an arrow, which showed a small chubby chicken”

It is from this little drawing, a sketch, that the “Chicanos” are born, the little chickens that CEET, born in the Terrasse district in Toulouse, today declines in thousands of canvases, sculptures and monumental frescoes around the world. . Very young, he drew and harmonized colors brilliantly. From the end of the 80s, he chose graffiti as the only activity and approached the various pictorial techniques, notably drawing and calligraphy. Self-taught, CEET has developed his own style.

Internationally recognized artist, it is then that he devotes himself to others! CEET is the founder of Jardin Orange in Shenzhen, which welcomes and supports emerging artists. Since 2011, it is often in partnership with ROSE STUDIO ART GALLERY that CEET participates in cooperation projects in Asia to support the local artistic scene. ROSE STUDIO ART GALLERY is very pleased to present the first solo exhibition of CEET Fouad in Paris from March 10 to April 10, 2020.
